Course Description
The Landscape Programme is designed to teach students how to capture the beauty of nature in oils through a series of studio studies. The programme is centred around classical oil painting techniques as we explore different elements within sky, sea and landscape painting. Inspired by a range of historic and modern Landscape artists, we use a series of set painting projects. Each study is supported with step-by-step guidance from tutors who teach how to capture lighting, sunsets, storms, trees, hills, mountains, rocks, beaches, lakes, buildings and much more.
We strongly encourage all students to book an En Plein Masterclass alongside their course. This one-day course is a fantastic opportunity to study from life. Learn how to tackle the moving light, the best palette to use, and simplify your composition. All levels are welcome. Dates and venues for 2024 TBC
